Meet Natalie our marketing guru!

Natalie has been focussing on our marketing campaigns and also liasing with our floral supplier and here she shares a little more with us about her experiences so far:

Hi,

My name is Natalie and im a 23 year old female from hertfordshire. I recently bought a florist with my mum and as well as being a student at the event school london studying event and conference production I am also studying floristry.
For the past 5 years I have wanted to get into event management and finally after travelling around europe, south east asia, austalia and south Africa I pulled myself together and enrolled on the course. I am really enjoying it and working with Kathryn, Kemi, Aneela and Lubica and am very excited about our up and coming event Blooms & Balloons that will be held on the 16th April.

Hope to see you all there!

Introducing our Florist - Shelley from Arrangements

Arrangements is owned by Wendy & Natalie Beazley and although the shop itself has been a florist for many years we have only owned it a month.

Shelley the florist has been doing floristry for 10 years and started out in the same shop as a saturday girl
Experience includes local events and party's, a fair few weddings and more recently a large function held at the House of lords in parliment square - London

Introducing our Balloon specialist - Jacqui from Decorum Weddings and Events

Decorum Weddings and Events was established in 2007, initially providing a balloon decoration service for weddings, birthdays and many other celebrations. Since then my experiences and knowledge within the venue decoration industry have increased tremendously and I am now able to provide a decoration service to venues transforming them into a picture perfect setting which not only includes creative balloon displays but now also beautiful floral arrangements, colour co-ordinated table and chair covers plus personalised banners and balloons.

I not only enjoy working with balloons and people, I am also passionate about creating balloon displays.  This has inspired me to attend courses in balloon artistry, floristry and wedding planning.  Courses have been from a combination of specialist private companies and from NABAS, The Balloon Association which ensures I am up-to-date with latest trends and techniques.  In addition to this I also deliver workshops in balloon artistry which help to empower members of the community by learning a new skill and gaining confidence in themselves.

First Thing's First!

On our first meeting we were all very excited about learning more about event operations and creating a fabulous event!

We used this meeting to come up with ideas of events we thought would appeal. We all wanted to develop an idea that would be a success and also educational and enjoyable for attendees. We carried out a feasibility study on several ideas. This means we needed to decide if the ideas were possible and would be successful. We needed to think about why we were running the event and the target audience. We also needed to think about when and where it would be held. We also had to think about how the concept would be profitable and any barriers that we might encounter.

From this we decided to develop the idea of a flower and balloon workshop that would benefit not only people with an interest in venue decor, wedding planning and party planners but also a fun afternoon for mothers, daughters and friends!

From this Blooms & Balloons was born!!

With all these flowers coming through I am really excited about our forthcoming event 'Blooms & Balloons workshop'. The workshop is taking place on April 16th  3:30-6pm.

It's going to be a fantastic spring event giving participants the chance to learn how make their own bouquet and also how to put together a simple balloon table decoration.
